Sunday 28th May 2023 - CO/KS (Marginal Risk)

Last Day of Tour 2 and we needed to be in Denver for early on the Morning of the 29th for Changeover so we had to opt for the Marginal Risk of late Thunderstorms in Eastern Colorado and Western Kansas around the Sharon Springs area. A Supercell did initiate late but was always struggling against a strong cap and we really only had 1 hour with this storm before it died off as the Sun Set. Others storms did erupt when darkness fell and the LLJ ramped up but these were east of us moving away so some distant Cumulus tops lighting up was all we could manage with our overnight stay of Burlington already locked in.
