Tuesday 30th May 2023 - Kansas (Slight Risk)

We started today with lunch in Colby at Twisters Bar N Grill. Todays storms would be messy and all over the place with little to no cap and quite a few boundaries floating about. It really was pot luck where might see a Landspout type weak Tornado today and with us on a nice Severe Storm just south of Goodland around 3pm I was quite hopeful, as is the case with these storms though it makes little sense what storms will produce and one such storm near Lamar off to our South West had a pretty decent Landspout Tornado reported but looked weak on radar. As the cap weakened further more and more storms formed in an arc around us so we went into Lightning mode as there was little in the way of structure to look at, some of the guests got some pretty nice pictures as the storms were elevated and high based in nature. Tomorrow looks much better in yes New Mexico again!
