Saturday 3rd June 2023 - New Mexico (Marginal Risk)

After yesterdays excitement down at the Fort today was much more relaxed and we made our way towards the Carlsbad and Roswell area for some non severe mountain storms but what was not expected was a briefly supercellular storm near Lovington in Eastern New Mexico which we checked out. This Storm had some really nice shelf cloud structure for a while and we had a nice leisurely chase trying to get some mainly Lightning photography but the outflow nature of the storm offered little in the way of bolts and lots of cold outflow winds and dust. We cut the chase off around 7pm and went for a nice Italian meal in Andrews (Texas) and got ready for the next day which would be in the Northern Texas Panhandle.
