Saturday 7th May 2022 - Nebraska (Slight Risk)

Little bit of a Bonus chase day today as we awaited Tour 1 guests and close enough to Denver for us to venture into the Nebraska Sandhills area. After having lunch at Lake McConaughty at a lovely Thai Restaurant we found we headed North towards Arthur to some unorganised showers. We were struggling with quality moisture today but there were 60s Dewpoints coming in from the SE and we were hopeful by around 6pm this would allow a Storm to get organised. And that is exactly what happened with a Storm intitially High Based turning right and moving to the east. We got caught behind the storm and punched through the core taking a few golfball hail stones and turned back to see some really nice structure.First Look at Storm SE of Arthur (NE)East of the Storm after punching through the Hailcore. The Supercell was now spitting out some lovely CgsWe then dropped south to North Platte as the storms growed Upscale into a SE Moving MCS. A much better day than what we expected.
