Wednesday 7th June 2023 - NM/TX (Slight Risk)

We started today in Tucumcari and headed north east to Clayton for Street Tacos for lunch and whilst there a stationery hailstorm went up above our heads which was a nice bit of entertainment for our lunch. We gassed up the cars and headed west towards Capulin and watched a couple of Mountain storms rolling into the better moisture further east. These storms became messy for a while before one storm really took off as it moved SE into the Texas Panhandle near Dalhart and further SE towards Dumas and Amarillo. It was very HP in nature and with an almost zero Tornado risk we positioned for those lovely shelf cloud shots that come with these type of storms.
